Q What is ~indians?
A Indians on deviantART is a community for all deviants who are either of Indian origin, or who have an interest in India to share their work, interact and communicate with each other.
We would like to stress the point that we are not a commenting community which follows the "You comment on my work and I'll comment on your's..." approach.


Q Who can join ~indians?
A Anyone! Anyone who lives here or has visited will tell you that it’s a state of mind really..


Q How do i join ~indians?
A Send us a note (and not a comment on our deviant page) with your real name and a link to your deviant page. Including personal details (like age and location) are entirely optional.


Q How do i submit my artwork at ~indians?
A You can submit Original artwork or re-submit existing artwork from your DA gallery.

Original Artwork: You could upload it to one of the image sharing services (like Imageshack, or even something like Rapidshare) and note us with:

Your dA nick name
Your name (optional)
Title of the piece
A brief description of the piece

Resubmitting artwork from your DA gallery: Send us a note (and not a comment on our deviant page) with the link to your deviation. If you want the description or title to be different for the Indians submission, then please specify the changed information clearly in the note.


Q What can i submit at ~indians?
A Absolutely anything. However, we do exercise a basic quality control. While we are sure that you would submit only work that reflects your best artistic abilities, the final decision to upload pieces would remain with the staff.


Q Why is my deviation not in your gallery?
A Either your deviation did not make it through our quality control or its probably off the gallery due to our rotation policy. We follow a rotation policy in which your deviation will be in our gallery for a minimum period of 2 months. After that it may be taken off our gallery. Decision as to what stays and what not is solely upto the staff alone.


Q Can I be an admin/co-admin at ~indians?
A We are no longer actively recruiting people. However, if we are looking for people, the news will be posted here, so keep checking in! The list of admins can be found here.


Q Can I be an admin/co-admin at ~indians if i pay the admins?
A Unless you're offering us an insane amount of money (read: enough to buy us our very own Greek island ), that seems to be highly unlikely.

Q Why haven’t I been added to the members list as yet?
A Our admins play their role here on a purely voluntary basis, and thus, have their personal accounts and lives to handle along with their responsibilities on Indians. We usually take 2-3 days to upload deviations, reply to notes and add members to the list.


Q I have a question that is not answered here, so what do I do?
A If you have a specific question which is not answered here, please note us at ~indians or note one of our admins if you have a specific question related to the section they control.
